Logo Creation
The first thing which I was sure I would need was a logo. This was painfully evident for me as after first creating my website I found it to be lacking a certain amount of professionalism, simply having my name on the header of the page. So instead, as I see myself as a business, started to brand myself as such.

Before

After
As you can see the website already looks a lot more professional simply by adding the logo. Thus making my brand image look significantly better already.

Final
Unknowingly, I created my logo the same as another well known animation studio called SPA. Due to this I thought it best to rebrand myself to avoid any confusion and to avoid any possible copyright issues it may cause in future. After some time I settled on PIPESLINE Animation. A funny twist on my nickname - Pipes and the industry lingo word pipeline. Which I thought was a clever idea.
Instagram Rebranding
At the start of the year I already had an Instagram which contained various art and animations I had created over the past 2 years. This I feel needed to be rebranded to a pure animation account, so I changed the name from spiperart to spiperaimation. As well as this I removed some of my worse animations from my page as well as all of the art.

Before

After
As you can simply by removing unrelated and unprofessional posts and changing the name of the account it already looks a lot more professional. Also using the logo I created prior just adds to consistency of my brand across various mediums of media.

Final
I then finally changed my logo to the updated version, as well as changing the account name to reflect the new logo.
YouTube Recreation
Similarly to Instagram I already had an account on YouTube which contained previous animations as well as showreels. However it also contained my gaming videos from when I was younger. As well as this the URL of the channel actually had the name “Total Gamer 2012” in it as it was the old channel name. This as I’m sure you would agree is not professional in the slightest, and in some ways tarnishes my brand image of professionalism. So I decided to create a new channel entirely.

Before

After
After making those simple changes I think it looks ten times better already, looking much sleeker and more professional, as well as having the correct appropriate channel name. Making it something I would be more than happy to have industry look at when viewing my reels.

Final - Logo & Name Change
I then made two final changes to my YouTube channel, those being changing the logo as well as the account name to reflect my new professional identity.
Linked In
Unlike the two prior social media platforms, Linked In I feel required no additional changes. This I because I believe it has all the relevant information on it already as well as looking professional. The only thing I considered changing in fact was the profile picture to my logo. However due to the nature of Linked In I felt it would make it more personal having an image of myself instead.

Current - Unchanged
I also joined a number of groups to do with the fields of animation I was interested in. This was to gauge what is going on in these industries in regards to work and job availability tailoring my LinkedIn profile to myself that bit more, while also leaving me more engaged in industry too.

LinkedIn Groups
TikTok
Due to the radical popularity of TikTok I decided to create one and dedicate it to my animation similar to my Instagram. However Unlike my Instagram, I hadn't made any prior posts. The only thing I did once I uploaded some of my animations was to change the profile picture from an image of myself to my logo. Other than that I feel it looks as professional as it can for a TikTok account.

First - PFP Changed
I made two more simple changes to my TikTok again changing my logo and account name.

Social Media Sum Up
After editing and creating these 4 social media pages, as well as my logo, I feel as if I have successfully rebranded myself into a professional business digitally for the public and industry eye (All links which are available on the header and footer of this website). However I feel that’s not enough. I want to go one step further and make a physical rebranding of sorts.
CV Development
I feel as if my CV needed to be greatly improved so I decided to recreate my bland boring working CV, into a creative CV before our classes meeting with Ben Steel, the Careers Executive at Ravensbourne.

Original

Improved
Although this was a massive improvement to my CV, Ben suggested that it not only be compressed down into one page, but also made more personal and visually appealing, which I completely understood and agreed with. As well as this he also asked me to remove the image of myself and replace it with either my logo or something more intuitive as “we as artists are visual people, make it visual!”.

Further Improved
As you can see this is a massive improvement on what I already had, removing my image from the top right and replacing it with a qr code to my current showreel, as well as adding my and the various softwares I have experience with’s logos to make it more visually appealing. Finally I added my logo to once again keep up with brand consistency, which for me is the finishing touch for my CV.

Current
I further improved my CV once again based off of feedback I received from Ben Steele. I changed the education part and decided to move it to the left hand side replacing the skills section. And due to removing the skills section I decided to put them into my work experience section in small anecdotal points which are below each of my work experiences instead of having them be bullet pointed. I also removed any irrelevant experience and added briefs which I have worked on in the past at uni, giving I feel a more professional and clean look to my CV as a whole.
Invoice Creation
To keep my brand image consistent with the CV I decided to keep the colour scheme the same so that the invoice can be easily associated with myself and my brand. This will be the same with any other physical media I create from now on. For more details on the contents of my Invoice, please refer to my finances page.

First
I changed the logo to reflect the logo change.

Current
Business Card Creation
The final Piece of physical media I created was a business card. Once again sporting my logo as well as the colours shown above. Although business cards are seen as somewhat archaic now I still thought it would be nice to have one just in case as you never know when you may need it. It may even help me stand out from the crowd and be more memorable overall which would, in my mind, make me an ideal candidate for wherever I apply.

Physical Media Sum Up
Although physical media as a whole seems to be going somewhat out of fashion I still felt it would make myself appealing and somewhat interesting/quirky as a brand as stated above I feel it makes me stand out that just bit more. As well as this consistency throughout my physical media also supports a good brand image, which I am naturally aiming for.
Self Promotion Sum Up
Overall I would say that my rebranding of my social media, physical media, and myself as a business has been a great success. I feel as if it looks very appealing and consistent and of course professional too. I believe I will keep this branding up into any other self promotional ventures I take. Furthermore, bolstering the consistency of the brand which I am creating for myself.
