Collaboration Intro
I had one main collaborator within my FMP that being with Joe Healey in my class. He provided me with my storyboards, something which for me is way out of my skill set due to my lacking ability in drawing, making him the perfect collaborator for me. Please find below our conversations prior to the creation of the storyboards and the boards themselves.
Reaching Out
I reached out to Joe early on in the year as I wanted to get the boards done and my idea realized before I started to film. This turned out great as he quickly replied saying he was interested and we began our collaboration. Please find a screenshot below of our initial conversation.
Sharing The Script
Just before I reached out to Joe I had created some scripts for him to work from. I feel they laid out a clear idea however we needed to discuss them more in person and clear up any confusion in the ideas such as camera angles and shot lengths. Please find below the scripts I had created prior.
I ultimately ended up having to change two of these ideas later on so please find the revamped scripts for those ideas below.
Creating The Storyboards
Over the next couple of weeks while I was finding appropriate rigs and doing any research I needed such as recce's and software knowledge Joe was working away producing some great storyboards. Please find them below.

As you can see the boards he created are great. I feel they really helped me visualize my idea, so much so I turned them into animatics. Please find them below.

Adding the movement between the panels for the timing I wanted I feel really brings Joe's work to life, letting me perfectly envision what I wanted from each and every shot.
Revamped Storyboards
Unfortunately as I changed my scripts I also had to change the storyboards too. This to me was a shame as I had to ask Joe to do yet more work for me, however he was happy to help! Please find my revamped boards for the Rooftop Fall, and Street Crossing shots below.

Joe did an amazing job once again reworking the storyboards as needed to my script changes, once again perfectly capturing my vision in a way I could never. Please find below the animatics of these two boards.

Again adding the timing I want for the shots really brings Joe's work to life despite the changes to the script they still work perfectly.
Collaboration Sum Up
Overall the collaboration with joe has been amazing. he has helped me envision my idea at every turn whether it be an awkward shot or a complete script change he was always there to help me achieve my vision. I genuinely feel as if I didn't have his help my FMP wouldn't have turned out as fleshed out and polished as it would have had I pursued this venture on my own. So thank you Joe for all the help!
